While I do not shop there a lot, I do drive out of my way to buy things there. They always have what I want and the service is outstanding. Anyone who has waited on me has always known where various products were located and has been able to recommend the best option. The staff at checkout do a super job--kind and professional

I stopped by Chevy Chase Hardware to get some wood screws to put the door back on a oak cabinet that My Grandfather built years ago May be the 40's or 50's that I was given. The employees there were very helpful and sold me 4 tiny wood screws. Today I installed the door and the screws were the perfect fit. Thank Yiu Chevy Chsse Hardware

I had a problem at the store, but the store owner (I think?) called to discuss it, and the issue was completely resolved. I applaud Chevy Chase Hardware for its true personal approach to business and customer relations. Mistakes happen, but how we fix and deal with them leave lasting impressions. I'll most definitely shop again at Chevy Chase Hardware, probably even more often now. Hats off--and thanks!

Chevy Chase Hardware is a gem!! We are so fortunate to have it. Customer service is fantastic with great advice givers, always have exactly what I need and I am in and out in 5 minutes (unless you stop for a chat with your neighbor). On my most recent visit I popped in for two items I almost ordered on Amazon but really felt like I needed to see. Price was cheaper than online and I was out faster than they could deliver it and in and out of the store in less time than walking through the parking lot at Lowe’s or Home Depot. Thanks for being such a wonderful resource, Chevy Chase Hardware, you make living in Lexington great!

This store is awesome. It has individual screws, etc. instead of large boxes plus so much inventory of "everything". The service desk is very knowledgeable about challenging project problems. Very friendly and helpful staff! Enjoy my visit there every time.

The customer service is top notch. I live nearby and bought some camping chairs. When I mentioned to the owner that I’d walked there, he insisted on driving me back home. Very nice guy!

It's like the small town hardware store you read about in novels. Quiet and familiarly friendly. The epitome of bluegrass Hardware store types. This place has anything you'll go looking for at It's major competitor chains and Chevy Chase Hardware is gonna save you money, while you support local. Give this place a search, first!!!

The service is top notch. The owners and the staff are always there to help you. My brother has been coming here for 25 years and as a general contractor he says to stop there first before going anywhere else. As others have said, they have almost everything one needs to run a house. I always stop in and they don't disappoint. The other day I was looking for an umbrella stand (in October) and they didn't have any. The owner, got on line and pointed me to a competitor that had them in stock. That's great service and build loyalty. Thank you Chevy Chase HW for being here.

I have an old house and often things go wrong with it. This time it was the front door handle dropping and not engaging in the hardware. I took the worn out rod dohicky and they had a replacement in their wall of specialty screws, bolts, nuts, and other hardware. Super helpful staff who are also very friendly and knowledgeable. Love the old school hardware store.
